HVAC INSTALLATION TECHNICIAN

Job Description

Responsible for the installation of HVAC comfort or process systems, utilizing knowledge of air conditioning theory, pipe fitting and mechanical layouts.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for installing products and equipment on assigned projects and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Performs installation, troubleshooting and start-ups of HVAC systems.
  • Uses a variety of hand tools, following blueprints, wiring diagrams, piping schemes or engineering specifications, to install complete operational systems.
  • Installs systems and products at customer's location.
  • Prepares for on-site installation by examining building layout, anticipating difficulties, gathering materials and performing on-site work.
  • Inspects and maintain vehicle by checking vehicle condition and completing repairs and maintenance service.
  • Maintains tools and equipment by inspecting for signs of wear.
  • Documents work by completing paperwork on each job
  • Represents Company by serving as a direct customer contact.
  • Determines parts to order for installation and timeliness of need.
  • Keeps current all major products concerning installation, operation and application
  • Provides technical support to customers.
  • Regular travel requirements
  • Flexibility to work overtime/weekends, as required.

Qualifications:

  • High School graduate or its equivalent
  • 3 years minimum experience at installing HVAC systems
  • Must have experience with installing high and low voltage wiring
  • Must be proficient in piping work, brazing, threading.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and others the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Plumbing Service Technician

Job Description

Responsible for diagnoses, service, and repair of all aspects of residential plumbing including but not limited to, main sewer cleaning and camera inspection, gas line installation and testing, hot water tank and tank-less installation and service, shower valve installation and repair, as well as kitchen faucets and garbage disposals.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for servicing products and equipment on assigned projects and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Uses a variety of hand tools, wiring diagrams, piping schemes or engineering specifications, to diagnose, and repair plumbing equipment.
  • Uses power tools, smart phones and tablets.
  • Identifies, analyzes, diagnoses and repairs all aspects plumbing systems and products at a customer's location.
  • Performs preventative maintenance, site surveys, repairs, and modifications as needed or requested by customers.
  • Maintains tools and equipment by inspecting for signs of wear.
  • Documents work by completing electronic work order on each job and maintaining files.
  • Represents company by serving as a direct customer contact.
  • Determine parts to order for repairs and timeliness of need.
  • Keeps current on all installed products concerning installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair.
  • Provides technical support to customers.
  • Work in rotation with other technicians to cover a 24/7 service department schedule.

Skills Required:

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills, detail oriented and entrepreneurial in nature.
  • Detail oriented with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to follow directions and specific process steps to ensure quality workmanship.
  • Strong working knowledge of job site safety as well as ability to complete a company specific safety orientation.
  • Strong working knowledge of customer service principles and practices. Customer relationship-development and client
    retention experience.
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to interact effectively face to face. Solid knowledge and understanding of system operation, building plans and working drawings.

Education and/or Experience Required:
Minimum five years’ experience is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Must be familiar with various residential plumbing components.

A valid driver's license. Ability to pass drug testing.

Physical Requirements:
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
