Brochure

The Carrier MVP Gas FurnaceCarrier's WeatherMaker® InfinityTM gas furnace delivers the kind of comfort that proves all furnaces are NOT created equally.

Imagine a furnace that seems to know exactly how much heating comfort you need, when you need it. That's the type of indoor weather you can expect with this truly intelligent gas furnace. Equipped with ComfortHeatTM Technology and variable speed blower and inducer motors, the WeatherMaker® InfinityTM responds to the call for comfort by starting slowly and gently ramping up to quickly deliver heated air to your home. It maintains your comfort quietly and economically by providing a nearly continuous flow of warmth in low-capacity operation. Then, as conditions change outside, the WeatherMaker® InfinityTM continues to manage your indoor weather with just the right amount of high and low heating capacity operation. Carrier's ComfortFanTM gives you even more control of your indoor comfort, by allowing you to select your continuous fan speed at the thermostat. Choose the one that is best for you and your family.

As a part of your home's cooling system, the WeatherMaker Infinity continues to deliver soothing comfort during cooling operation. Installed as a part of your total indoor weather system, the WeatherMaker Infinity delivers cool air quietly and consistently with its variable speed blower motor. Additional comfort is achieved with the system's enhanced humidity removal capabilities.

The WeatherMaker Infinity operates at low heating capacity up to ninety percent of the time.
In low capacity, the furnace is quieter and much more energy efficient. Standard furnaces can only operate at full capacity, which increases noise and energy usage.

Carrier lets you relax and enjoy the comfort of your home with extra-quiet indoor weather. The WeatherMaker Infinity adds a subtle dimension to your comfort level with its amazingly quiet operation. Indoor noise is kept to a minimum because this furnace operates on low capacity much of the time. Additional sound reducing features include a sealed combustion system and fully insulated cabinet, making the WeatherMaker Infinity several times quieter than standard furnaces.

WeatherMaker Infinity (58MVP) Features

Reliable, efficient burner ignition is the result of the Hot Surface Ignitor system. One of the most dependable ignition systems available, the hot surface ignitor conserves gas because there is no standing pilot.

Comfort is improved because the two-stage gas valve provides two stages of heating. The low stage increases comfort on milder days. The high stage ensures comfort during extreme outdoor weather conditions.

Ultra-high efficiency performance and energy savings are provided by the variable speed inducer which precisely controls the amount of air drawn into the combustion system.

Optimum comfort and efficiency is provided by the variable speed blower motor. This high efficiency motor provides maximum energy savings at low fan speeds during both heating and cooling. It also provides consistent airflow under varying load conditions and offers a continuous fan function for improved air circulation and air cleaning.

Carrier's secondary heat exchanger with the patented Serpentuffª polypropylene laminate resists corrosion for longer life.

Variable Capacity Operation

Variable capacity operation means consistent indoor temperatures with a nearly continuous flow of heated air. One of the complaints with standard furnaces is that you're either too warm or too cold. That's because a standard furnace warms your home with a series of full-speed-ahead blasts of warm air. When the furnace isn't running, the temperature drops before the next heating cycle. With the WeatherMaker Infinity, temperatures remain consistently close to your desired setting through its combination of variable capacity operation and smart electronics that can accurately predict the need for additional heating.

With a fixed capacity furnace, your indoor temperature can fluctuate 4 degrees from your desired setting. With the WeatherMaker Infinity's smart electronics and variable-capacity technology, temperatures remain consistently close to your desired setting.

Under normal operation, the average fixed capacity furnace will consume about 625 watts of electricity. The WeatherMaker Infinity will use about the same amount of electricity as an 80 watt light bulb during low-capacity and continuous fan operation.
