Carrier's Performance 93 gas furnace provides even, consistent heating temperatures for enhanced indoor weather during the cold, winter months. Just as the name implies, ComfortHeat Technology provides a more comfortable type of heating than ordinary furnaces. With two stages of heating and intelligent comfort control, the Performance 93 can deliver heated air at a more consistent level. Low stage heating helps maintain optimum efficiency and comfort by minimizing up-and-down temperature swings as well as the hot and cold areas associated with ordinary furnaces. When additional heating is necessary at start-up or during extreme winter conditions, the smart control automatically adjusts to high stage heating to quickly meet and maintain the comfort you deserve.

Performance 93 Features   

The Performance 93 provides the additional benefit of improved indoor air quality. With low-stage heating cycles that last about 40% longer than ordinary furnace heating cycles, the Performance 93 circulates conditioned air more continuously throughout your home and your comfort system. That means the air passes through your furnace filter for longer periods of time to provide cleaner air inside your home. Adding a higher efficiency Carrier air filter to your air cleaner cabinet can help maximize the air cleaning qualities of this system.

With Carrier's condensing furnace technology the Performance 93 offers penny-pinching performance most furnaces simply can't match. To achieve 93% AFUE (Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency), this furnace utilizes two heat exchangers. Our primary, Super-S heat exchanger converts up to 80% of the heat from furnace operation into useable heat. Then, our secondary heat exchanger converts up to an additional 13% more useable heat for your home. Carrier's ComfortHeat Technology takes care of the rest, using a "smart" control board which monitors the needs of your home and makes adjustments to achieve the highest amount of comfort using the least amount of energy. Typically, your Performance 93 will operate on low-stage heating for 90% of its operational time to deliver maximum comfort.

Naturally, one of the keys to your comfort is knowing you've chosen a product you can depend on. The Performance 93 offers solid construction and proven indoor weather components. Our primary heat exchangers resist corrosion with aluminized steel, crimped seam construction, backed with a lifetime limited warranty. The secondary heat exchangers are coated with our patented Serpentuff polypropylene laminate for additional corrosion resistance. Hot surface ignition safely and efficiently starts the heating process with more reliability than traditional pilot systems. Our sealed combustion system uses outside air to help eliminate drafts. All of these features, along with Carrier's reliability testing help ensure the quality of every product we make.
